ABOUT
Mystic Tea Party are an Australian alternative rock band from Melbourne. Formed in 2021 by Australian vocalist Blume and Polish-Australian producer Sebastian Walach, they are fast becoming one of the city’s most captivating and anticipated acts. With a genre-blending, densely layered sound that pulls from electronic rock, trip-hop, grunge, psychedelic rock, dream pop, shoegaze, and electronica, Mystic Tea Party have crafted a musical identity that is uniquely their own—cinematic, emotional, and unmistakable.
Their debut single, “I’m Addicted,” was released in January 2023 and coincided with Blume’s feature in a major World Pride campaign, spotlighting them as Australia’s first openly Intersex musician. This moment marked more than just a media debut—it launched a conversation, amplified by Blume’s 500,000+ active followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, where their fearless creative expression and candid voice have helped build a global audience. The follow-up single, “Aftertaste,” received glowing press and national radio attention, cementing their place in the Australian alternative music scene.
Beyond just music, Mystic Tea Party represent a new generation of DIY artistry. They write, record, produce, and visually direct everything themselves—from the music to the videos, artwork, and even their promo strategy. Their fiercely independent ethos is part of what makes the project so personal and powerful.
As performers, the band brings their sonic world to life on stage. With Sebastian Walach on guitar/synths, Aaron Muller on drums, and Adam Brown on bass guitar, their live sets blur the line between concert and dreamscape—equal parts visceral and atmospheric, with immersive visuals and theatrical presence that leave a lasting impression.
Now, Mystic Tea Party are preparing to tour Australia during the summer festival season, while also planning for their international debut, fueled by a growing fanbase across the USA, Europe, and Asia. With three new singles on the horizon—including their latest track “The Looking Glass”—and a steady stream of interest from global tastemakers.
Mystic Tea Party are not just making music. They’re building a world—and the door is wide open.
